Morocco, Niger Rep Deepen Air Transport Partnership to Boost Trade and Connectivity

The Kingdom of Morocco has signed a strategic partnership with Niger Rep to expand cooperation in air transport, aimed at strengthening trade, facilitating travel, and modernizing aviation infrastructure.

The agreement covers expertise sharing, personnel training, and the development of regular air links to improve connectivity between both countries and across West Africa. Morocco, leveraging its role as a continental air hub, will provide technical support to enhance Niger’s airport infrastructure, air traffic control, and customs efficiency.

This partnership is expected to stimulate trade, tourism, and professional mobility, offering Nigerien businesses improved access to Moroccan, African, and European markets. Joint projects in aircraft maintenance, specialized training, and airline development are also planned.

Beyond technical collaboration, the initiative reinforces broader Maghreb–West Africa integration, aligning with regional goals of sustainable economic and political ties. Morocco’s commitment positions it as a key partner in advancing aviation-led growth in sub-Saharan Africa.
