Nigeria Advances Digital Infrastructure with $400m Data Centre Project

Tetracore Energy Group has partnered with Huawei and Inspirive Technologies to develop a $400 million Tier III data centre in Ogun State. The 20MW facility, located within the Tetracore Energy Park, introduces an innovative “energy-to-digital” model designed to address Nigeria’s persistent power challenges. Scheduled for completion within 10 to 12 months, the project aims to provide the high reliability and redundancy required by financial institutions, government agencies, and global cloud providers.

The initiative integrates Tetracore’s 100MW Independent Power Plant with Huawei’s advanced data centre technologies, ensuring stable and efficient operations. The project underscores the critical role of reliable energy in driving digital transformation, positioning the facility as a key enabler of Nigeria’s expanding tech ecosystem.

With rising demand for artificial intelligence and data processing, the centre is designed to support high-performance computing and reduce dependence on offshore hosting. By bypassing grid limitations, the project strengthens data security and enhances Nigeria’s capacity for long-term digital and economic growth.
