Dangote Cement Plc has signed an agreement with Sinoma International Engineering for the construction of 12 new projects and expansion of existing facilities across Africa. The partnership covers new integrated plants, brownfield expansions, and modernisation initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency. Planned projects include a new line in Northern Nigeria with a satellite grinding unit, additional lines in Ethiopia, and developments in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, and Cameroon, alongside multiple sites within Nigeria.
Founder of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, said the over one-billion-dollar investment aligns with the group’s Vision 2030 and supports a target of 80 million tonnes per annum production capacity by 2030. He noted that the projects will strengthen domestic dominance, boost exports, and enhance efficiency.
The company also expanded gas supply agreements with subsidiaries of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited to secure energy for rising production and cleaner fuel adoption.
