Qatar’s Public Works Authority, Ashghal, is advancing the remaining roads and infrastructure works under the Jeryan Nejaima project, reinforcing its commitment to upgrading urban services and road connectivity. The project is designed to support a fast-growing residential area, ultimately serving about 624 housing plots and improving overall living standards for residents.
According to Ashghal, the project will significantly enhance traffic flow, road safety, and access to public facilities once completed. Planned works include the construction of 22 kilometres of roads, installation of 677 lighting poles, and provision of nearly 2,800 parking spaces. The scope also covers extensive utility infrastructure, including stormwater drainage, treated water, and sewage networks, alongside landscaping works with hundreds of newly planted trees.
Construction activities are already underway, with asphalt removal and deep excavations progressing to enable pipe installation. Notably, the project relies entirely on locally sourced materials, aligning with Ashghal’s Taheel initiative to strengthen domestic manufacturing and supply chains.
