AI Spending Projected to reach $490 billion in 2025 Set to Benefit TSMC and ASML

Artificial intelligence (AI) continues to drive global market optimism despite economic headwinds, with AI infrastructure spending projected to reach $490 billion in 2025 and soar to $2.9 trillion by 2029. Analysts say the biggest beneficiaries will be Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and ASML Holding NV, thanks to their dominant roles in chip fabrication and lithography technology.

TSMC, which controls about 70% of the global semiconductor foundry market, is the preferred fabricator for major players like Nvidia, Apple, and Qualcomm. Its advanced 3nm and upcoming 2nm chips underpin the world’s most powerful AI applications.

ASML, the sole producer of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines, enables chipmakers to print smaller and faster circuits. Together, TSMC and ASML are positioned to capture the lion’s share of the AI-driven semiconductor boom.
