Femi Otedola, Chairman of Geregu Power Plc, has sold part of his stake in the power generation company in a transaction valued at approximately ₦1.19 billion. The shares were held through Amperion Power Distribution Company Limited, Geregu’s majority shareholder.
In a regulatory filing signed by Akin Akinfemiwa, Chief Executive Officer of Geregu Power, the firm disclosed that 1.16 million ordinary shares were sold at ₦1,027.4 per share. The trade, executed as a cross deal, took place on September 29, 2025, on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX).
Following the sale, Otedola’s direct and indirect holdings decreased from 76.86% in June to 76.34% as of September 30. Geregu emphasized that the disclosure complies with NGX’s insider trading and transparency regulations.
This move follows Otedola’s recent ₦2.01 billion investment in First HoldCo, where he acquired 64.87 million shares, signaling continued portfolio diversification across Nigeria’s power and financial sectors.
